Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills, stains) in one go without having to swap out devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. Its only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed - but just a glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's avoided.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
The Roborock model, like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It then can alter its course automatically and clean around them, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. Lifting remote hoover hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-refilling.
The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its innovative design lets you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's clever features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has several features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine.
